Later that same day...

Tonight when we went in it was Chris' turn to have contact with Jordan.
When we got there Chris was put to the task of changing Jordan's wee little diaper! He took it on like a champ. I took the easy task of taking his temperature.
Then when the nurse changed Jordan's bed Chris held him up out of the way for her. Photo below. Jordan loved it and kept peaking glances at us while in mid air!
And to put Jordan to sleep Chris read him a bedtime story which Jordan loves! Chris has been reading a story to him every day.
I have to tell you, Jordan really does enjoy listening to stories from his Daddy. He kept glancing up at Chris as he read, totally enraptured. He calmed and his eyes started to flutter shut towards the end in a content dream-time way. One of the nurses even came over to comment on Jordan's attentiveness to Chris' voice. It was so beautiful. It really is amazing, even though he's so tiny and premature, he knows who we are. He knows what's going on. He hears our voices and looks for us. He knows we love him and are there for him. After reading to Jordan, Chris put his finger by Jordan's hand and Jordan immediately reached out and grabbed his finger with determination and let his eyes close. So nice.
I could go on and on... but for now I'll go rest and just think about him... again!
Oh but I will add that Jordan chirps! Its so cute. He did it earlier when I held him. A contented little chirp. Then he did it for Chris tonight too. Hee hee.
