June 29 - 18 month development visit

Jordan did his second last Neo-natal visit on Tuesday. He's caught right up to his corrected age, which we've all known for quite some time. At this visit, like all the others, they tested his motor skills, cognitive and language skills and personal-social skills. Jordan was patient with each toy they tested him with; threading toy, blocks, and shapes puzzle. He left each therapist most impressed. Yay!

He was also weighed and measured.
Weight 23.8 lbs
Height 32.7 inches
Head circumference 18.3 inches (just because they give it to us!)

Again, we left with some child development information on where he should be by 24 months. And with that we went out to buy him one new toy last night that will help with the next stage. (a threading toy) Chris and I have decided that we much prefer the Inspirational Toy Store near us. The toys are almost always wood and teach many skills with one toy.

As a side note: new things Jordan's having fun with...
Kicking a ball
Summersaults - with aide but getting it!
Climbing on the kitchen furniture - and one big fall so far
Going in and out and in and out of our screen door to the patio
His threading toy!
Unloading the kitchen drawers - and he can now reach his paws up into the top drawer edges too!
Still loving books and sometimes sitting with one and babbling away on his own
Imitating... time to watch ourselves! He imitates actions and words. Works well with the soccer matches lately when there's a goal. Hands in the air and 'GOAL'!
And daycare - twice a week and he just loves it!

I'm sure there's much more but with me working so much I've been missing things I'm sure. Back to a 4 day week after July 11th... I can't wait!
