My friend and Doula...

"Doula is a word that has most closely become associated with a woman or man who provides non-medical support (emotional and physical) to other women and their families during labour and childbirth, and also the postpartum period."

I've known Angie since our early twenties. She has 3 boys and now a daughter of her own and in the past few years has become a Doula and she has the perfect personality for it. Caring, compassionate and strong. On the day of Amber's birth she came to the hospital and was there with some natural remedies once the birth was over and has followed up with me each week since. Although she met Amber that day I wanted to have her over to have a proper visit with her and she brought her 7 month old daugher Nieve as well. (May 11th)

Nieve had a blast with Jordan as he'd run and hide and come running back to her. She was in giggles which made him giggle too. But he couldn't at first grasp that she couldn't chase him. He kept saying "come on! come on!" They had good fun. Since she has 3 older brothers she was used to this monkeying around!

Memory is short. Doesn't remember that once upon a time, he too could not chase anyone.
