Ottawa with Nanny & Pappy!
Jordan and I had a great visit with my mom and dad for the past week - they cooked for us, did our laundry, washed the dishes - it was the perfect vacation! ha ha ha
No - really.
But sincerely it was a really good week for all three of them to get to know each other, and that they did! It was nice to see Jordan's face light up each morning he saw them and to leave me to go snuggle or play with them whenever he chose to.
Jordan got his birthday present from them early - he had so much fun playing with it through the box that my mom and I decided to just take it out and let him at it. I know! Over a month early, but really, he won't know. It freaks him out that it moves - wheels do that eh - but he loves all the noises the dash makes. Its a car that has one of those female voices he loves so much. She tells him when he's turning on the key, which way he's steering, and even when he's honking the horn. The best part - it has a Radio! whoo hoo! It sings the alphabet and other random kids songs, like "La Cucaracha", because who doesn't love those creepy crawly bugs? Anyway, I'm just trying to convey how much fun this little toy is...
For Jordan.
Not for me.
Its not my toy.
But he said he'll share.
Since there's no available stairs at our place - Jordan hasn't found them yet - he hasn't had much practice since the cottage to climb but my parents have a sunken living room so he was all over climbing those two steps.
Over and over and over and...
The picture's blurry.
Its because he was in motion.
(and I had my camera on the wrong setting)
====================================================
Earlier in the week my cousin Dave and his wife Adele came over with their baby Maximus! We had fun swapping babies and comparing weight and smells... you know... the stuff you say you'll never talk about when YOU have babies.
Anyway we decided to try our hand at a photo of the boys together. ha ha HA
The joke's on us.
