"Oh Christmas Tree"

As you read this blog pretend that the Charlie Brown Christmas Special music is on... or put it on! LOL

That's what we listened to while trimming the tree.

I worked on our new tree last night. We got a faux tree for a great price. And after two years its basically paid for itself. But now we just have to find the tree smell in a bottle! It really is missing.

This morning when Jordan got up the tree was ready to be dressed. I had even managed to get the one string of lights we had on the very bottom of the tree. We had to go get the rest of the decos today. We haven't had a tree given our space before and my moving all the time before that. This is a very exciting year for me! A full sized tree and a family to share it with.

So this morning I turned on the lights (which only covered the bottom row, as mentioned) and Jordan "ooh'd and aah'd" but then immediately pointed to the rest of the tree and said "more!" My kind of kid!

We went shopping for the rest of the items we'd need. When we got back Jordan had passed out due to nap time so I put the rest of the lights on while he slept. Much easier on my own. Once he was up we had him help stretch out the garland and then hang balls. You will notice the bottom of the tree is ball heavy. Once he got the hang of it he kept saying "Yay Jordie" and hanging more. You'll see as well he decided one branch was very special and needed many many christmas balls. (You will laugh but the photo showing this is ridiculous because he's standing at it... it was the best view. And it was the view I had of him going in behind the tree to add the balls! No pun intended)
