Amber - 11 Months
I just realized I really need to get a Baby's First Year book for Amber. I found a really nice one yesterday at a local place The Paper Place. They have gorgeous rice paper, little gifts and amazing ideas on do-it-yourself book/paper projects. So I picked up this adorable book to peak at the price and saw $84. Yikes! It really was gorgeous but come on. I'd expected $40 or so. I might just buy a really nice blank book and add all the first year text myself. I want to make it original and perfect. Of course! LOL
So instead I will, as always, use the handy blog to help me note what's going on and share with you all.
- Right now Amber is fully crawling.
- She's trying to stand on her own. If a surface is low enough she'll pull herself up to stand but its hard in our house. Not many low level objects!
- She squeals with delight when one of us returns home.
- If Chris is downstairs on a phone call Amber will seat herself right at the bannister/gate and 'talk' to him.
- If I'm running around cleaning or putting things away she follows my trail around. Its pretty cute.

- Amber loves playing with Jordan's toys when he's away at school.
Shhhhh, don't tell him that!
- Amber's top middle teeth are now coming in rounding off all four up there nicely!
- As soon as she hears a tune, especially all of Jordan's favourites that we hear often, she starts grooving. Arms out and 'waving'.
- And she has suddenly sprouted it seems. Chris and I both agree that she's just bigger all of a sudden. Longer, heavier. In one moment she no longer fit the 9 month sizes and was into 12 month. You know how it is.
- Amber can play a perfect Peek-a-Boo given a small blanket. She actually made Chris wait for her reveal yesterday. She's got comedic timing down!
- And finally she can be very loud when she wants your attention. Her happy squeal is slightly modified to a "you're not doing what I want!" squeal. Its cute on someone her size.
