High Park Nature Walk - Spring Flowers

Every other week High Park does a nature walk so we decided to get into spring by going today! 1-3pm. It was still a bit cool out be it was still a great adventure. In two weeks they're doing a bird watching walk. We won't be going but I like the different options available!

Amber ready to snuggle down in daddy's carrier.

First flower. Dandelion. "Dent de lion"

We sampled the leaves. A bit tart.

Garlic Mustard. They had us each pull one out as they're invasive. We tasted a leaf again. Yummy! And in its place she had us plant Golden Rod seeds.

Jack in the Pulpit. Can you believe it took 7 years just to get to this stage?!

Smooth yellow violet.

The Trillium! There weren't as many as there should be by now.  Assumed trampled. Sad.

Carpenter Ants take down a tree.
