The TMI Blog

TMI = Too Much Information!
25 week (early month six)
Here's the stuff I've been keeping from you... and its all in good humour.

1. My feet are constantly swollen now. Especially after walking the half hour home from work. One morning I woke up and they were already swollen! So when I get home, I often lie on the sofa with my feet up on the wall. This might also help avoid varicose veins I've been told.
2. My hips wake me up with screaming pain in the night. I have to stretch on my back until the pain eases and can roll to one side again. Chiropractic adjustments helped the first few times, but now, not so much.
3. Lil' Peanut is now heavy enough that when I do roll on my back I can feel his weight squishing all my organs. Hence why I'm not supposed to lie on my back! LOL
4. Stretch mark? I think I have spotted a stretch mark. A tiny red line. But it ain't on my lower half!
5. His feet are still very close to my bladder area and he's getting bigger. This makes for fun "oh my goodness!" sudden runs to the ladies room even at this stage.
6. They say a pregnant woman's hair and nails grow like crazy... nails yes, hair... only in thickness, not length. And with the waves I have its outta control! I am straightening it as often as I can or pinning it up.
7. My belly button is about to pop. It may have already and I'm just in denial.
8. Complexion. I had a facial on Saturday and my face has never been so clear! It was such a nice surprise. The extraction was minimal and only around my nose. Woohoo! The rest of the hour was masks and massage for my scalp and arms and shoulders.
9. I can no longer pull my socks on by pulling my knee up to my chin. As I haven't worn socks all summer this came as a shock this past week!

I think that's all my little pregnancy shifts right now!
ciao ciao

Wear ggo support hose in the winter to help with the veins. Just a hint I heard about. Wish I had know about that.

Ahahahahaha - I love the sock epiphany. TOo funny. By the way - isn't a good epsom salt foot soak supposed to be good for swollen feet? I think the salt water pulls moisture out of your feet because of the salt balance. I swear I read that somewhere. xo

I don't wear hose. This is against my skins comfort zone. LOL
However, I should be wearing better shoes to walk home in yes... but I forget them. Of course. So now I just fight for streetcar space.

I'll try the epsom salt foot soak, although raising my feet above my heart seemed a reasonable idea. Doesn't always work though, eh.

But really, I can't complain... this is a minor thing - for now anyway!

And Sarah if you could actually just help me shave my legs, that'd be even better than helping me put on my socks!

Well sounds like you and Veronica both are suffering from the swollen feet syndrom. I honestly can't remember but then I was swimming in cold water almost everyday so maybe that helped keep the swelling down. Veronica's doctor also suggested support hose but I don't think she has gone there as yet. Something about "old lady look a like" or something I think. LOL. You look great Cindy. Going down to see my grandbaby to be this weekend in person. Nice to see pics but the real thing is much much better. Take care sweetie. Love and hugs.

The "hose" is just panty hose. And from one who suffers from them it might worth the "look". And better shoes too. Not flats.

Love Mom No sauce yet today. LOL
