Week 24 - Belly Belly Belly!

Well, here we are at the 6 month mark! WOW. I knew Olympics would propel me into the next month without any thought at how much time had passed and indeed, here we are.

I've got a few belly shots. Firstly, the measurement. 

Veronica, I copied your photo since my sisters demanded it! LOL

34" today and my tattoo is growing one very large wing. Worried he's going to get stuck flying in circles.

And here is the profile shot. A bit blurry since I took it on timer so couldn't get the focus quite right. Again, I'll put a comparison roll along the bottom.

And here I am full shot, slowly gaining everywhere. I can only assume I've put on a couple more pounds since my last post, but can't be sure as I only trust the midwife scale (a proper one) and not ours here which gives a different weight each time you get on it.

So we're coming along well. My belly button is on the edge of popping out, but I'll deal with it when it happens. I've gotten a few pairs of proper maternity jeans as well as a jean skirt (a gift and thank you... you know who...) They're much comfier than my make shift current jeans with elastic contraption button hole! 

Last weekend Chris and I went to Toronto Island for an all day concert put on by Virgin Mobile to see one of our favourite bands, Foo Fighters, and little monkey didn't move at all! He must have been either just sitting back and enjoying it or else stuck with his fingers in his ears. Ha ha ha. Then two nights ago I managed to get into a small private show for one of my other fave bands, Metric, and I think he liked that a bit more. More movement than the weekend. But over all he seems to have slowed down on the moving a bit. I miss it, but maybe I should be glad as while he gets bigger it'd become more aggressive.

So my next midwife visit is next Thursday and I'll have some updates.

My next ultrasound is on Oct 7th to check and see if the placenta moved up.

Otherwise, all is moving along well and we're feeling good!
