DAY 23

Jordan is certainly impressing us. He's super star Jordan. Our little warrior. Putting on weight, learning to nurse and responding to visual and audio stimulants. (mostly chris and myself!) Its fantastic. He knows when we're there and looks around to find our faces when we talk. Pretty good for a guy who's supposed to still be sleeping in the womb for another 6 weeks! But he's now starting to wake up when we're putting him down after our evening visit and it kills us to leave him. He's not always crying but wide awake and at times making a fuss. So of course, as new parents Chris and I want to stay and make sure he's calm and preferably asleep before we leave. And right now, while he's in hospital we aren't worried about how much we spoil him. He has so many care givers with the nurses etc. that we want him to know we're the good guys!

Last night after a nursing trial and then feed Jordan snuggled with daddy for a bit... but of course as soon as we put him down in his bed, his eyes popped open and he looked around for us as if to say, "Hey! I know this part... you two leave..."

Needless to say, we can't wait until he comes home.

cin, sounds like he is doing well. it is amazing how quickly they gain weight. don't worry about the spit up. zoe spit up until about a year and she tripled her weight in the first three months despite all the puke!
Just an FYI, not sure what car seat you have (or are getting) but be sure that the straps can be adjusted small enough for him. i had the peg and it has three adjustments but i know some of the other ones only have two and with the preemies they are not considered safe enough. Just so your not disappointed when you go to take him home.
He is really cute and i cannot wait to meet him in person!

Jordan,
You look great!
You are very lucky to have 2 parents who are very attentive and caring and a large hospital staff for support.
I look forward to seeing you when I am next in Toronto.

Hey you!
I finally got a chance to catch up on your last week's worth of Jordan activity, and there has been a LOT! Cots and clothes and feeding oh my... I'm so glad you keep up this blog for all of us. :) I'm sending LOTS of love your way, and give that sweet baby a cuddle for Auntie Terry. ;)
