From the man himself...
by JORDAN
I thought I would write a blog myself and give mom a break as well as make sure you all know the truth! Who knows what sort of stuff she makes up...
I'm doing great. I don't know what all the fuss was about because I am doing just fine. I got sick and now I'm better. Drugs do that (and great medical staff). I still have one more week of them just to make sure. The problem is that my IV's for the meds keep collapsing and they have to put in new ones, first here on my right arm, then my left arm then my left leg... it never ends, and it kinda hurts. They tried putting in a more permanent line called a PICC tonight but it didn't work. A nurse will try again tomorrow and I really hope it works. Getting poked all the time is frustrating. For the time being they put an IV on my scalp... so unattractive. They even had to shave a bit of my gorgeous hair, can you believe that? A premie with a full head of hair and they cut into it! I just tell the other babies its my gangster thang.
Today I had an upper GI - something where they do an ultrasound thing on my tummy while colouring goes through my intestines to make sure they're not twisted around. They're not. This is great news cause I can finally starting having milk again, IV drip electrolytes just don't cut it.
I've gained weight in the last week. From 1990 grams up to 2200! (That's 4lbs 13oz for those who need the translation).
What this all means is, I'm much much better and hopefully in a week go back to level II care at St. Joe's and then home before Christmas. (fingers crossed cause I heard this Santa guy is awesome)
Here I am posing for mom, she can't stop taking my picture, I figure its cause I'm so darn cute! I was doing devil horns with my fingers for her but she missed the shot.
Take care everyone, hugs and kisses to you all!

Glad to hear you are doing better. Sorry to hear your IV problems. I can relate somewhat since I have an IV right now and when they changes it last night they managed to mess up and I bled all over. The doctors decided I needed a bionic hip and yesterday was the big day. They did a great job and I am already walking (slowly with a walker).I am relly looking forward to seeing you early in the New Year when i can get to Toronto. Although the people in the hospitals are great there is no place like home znd I hope you can go home with your great parents SOON!
Love to all,
Great Uncle John

Glad to hear that your gut is not twisted as that is not fun! For Jordan or anyone around him who has to try to comfort the pain!
Home for Christmas would be nice but just take in all the help you are getting now because i am sure Jordan will give you a run for your money when he finally does come home!
Thinking of you all.
